WTS opens Conference Centre for Tax Consultants at the Isartor
Wednesday evening World Tax Service WTS opened a modern conference centre boasting a prime inner-city location in their Munich headquarters at the Isartor. In the completely redesigned and technically well thought-out rooms formerly used by the municipal savings bank, clients of the internationally active tax consulting firm find optimal conditions for seminars, conferences and further training courses on a total of 700 square metres. Currently WTS is informing its clients on the planned Act on the Acceleration of Economic Growth.
The focus lies on the individual person. Function and architectural design follow this principle – elegant, unobtrusive but always visible. This is the concept of the new conference centre developed by the renowned Munich-based interior designer Ursula Beigler. Conference room, workshop rooms and the video conference room all feature the latest media technology. The clearly structured rooms offer a lot of space for both working in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoying stimulating art. They emanate clarity, efficiency and precision. Readily available for the user but nevertheless unobtrusive and invisible is the media technology integrated in the conference rooms. Acoustically active walls were specially developed for these rooms. High-quality wooden panels with micro-perforation absorb the sound. Especially for conferences optimal acoustic conditions are of utmost importance.
It is also intended to regularly organise art exhibitions in the conference centre at the Munich Isartor. Thus, the headquarters of the WTS Group will become a new cultural meeting point for representatives of the Munich business world. The fast-growing tax consulting firm did not only take on 80 new members of staff in the past twelve months but also puts a strong emphasis on in-house training. With more than 400 employees working at six offices in Germany as well as subsidiaries in China, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands, WTS is one of the largest German tax consulting firms. WTS regularly offers seminars and events on crucial current tax issues for its clients:
In the seminar on payroll tax legislation the focus is on payroll tax activities of the legislator and the financial authorities as well as precedent cases of the Federal Fiscal Court from the employer’s perspective and their implications.
Corporate accounting departments should be well-prepared for the most extensive amendments of VAT legislation in years.
Many proposed legal initiatives of the federal government are pushing for the modernisation of corporate tax legislation. Various measures have already been scheduled for 1 January 2010 which are to facilitate the deduction of losses and debt financing for companies.
