WTS Group joins the premier league in Corporate Tax Law and Asset Management

Munich, 12 July 2010 - By welcoming on board four new partners from prominent law firms, WTS completes its service portfolio in the high-end sector and becomes one of the leading full-service providers in Corporate Tax Law and Asset Management.

Stefan Hölzemann, currently Co-Head of Tax at Noerr LLP, and Dr. Carsten Fischer, Dr. Bela Jansen and Dieter Lübbehüsen, all currently Local Partners at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, shall practically simultaneously join the WTS Group along with their team of three additional employees.

Over the last few years, Stefan Hölzemann, one of the leading corporate tax lawyers in Germany, has achieved an outstanding reputation in matters of tax consultancy in large-scale international transactions. As a member of the Board of Directors of WTS AG in Munich, he will also be jointly responsible for the field of Transaction and Structural Consultancy.

The team working under Dr. Carsten Fischer, Dr. Bela Jansen und Dieter Lübbehüsen in the WTS Group's Frankfurt office will assume a leading position in Germany in the field of Asset Management and all relevant topics relating to regulatory and tax law. Among his other achievements, Dieter Lübbehüsen has made a name for himself as the co-editor of the leading German review of investment and investment tax law. Dr. Carsten Fischer is a leading expert in regulatory law and a pioneer in establishing the German investment company with variable capital (German InvAG). Together with Robert Welzel and Steffen Gnutzmann's existing practice in Frankfurt, WTS will be able to provide full service in the field of Asset Management, from the initial fund structuring to complex compliance services.

This process sees WTS systematically continuing to pursue its strategy, adopting a leading position in the Fiscal Transaction and Project Consultancy as well as in the Asset Management markets, in addition to its place at the forefront of the fields Tax Compliance and Tax Consulting and Outsourcing of Tax Departments. With these new entrants, WTS is also positioning itself as a strategic partner for law firms in matters of cooperation in the fields of tax and regulatory law.
