Business success and social responsibility go hand-in-hand

WTS is main sponsor of the Gut Immling Opera Festival

Munich, 12 May 2011 – WTS has been attending and promoting the Gut Immling Opera Festival for many years now, and has been premium festival partner and main sponsor since 2010. "For us, it's not just a matter of patronage", explains Fritz Esterer, chairman of WTS. "We take an active role in social responsibility and are specifically involved in social and cultural projects."

In just a few years the opera festival at Gut Immling under the directorship of Ludwig Baumann has become one of the most popular musical festivals in Germany. In 2011 the organisers expect a new record of over 15,000 visitors, including a number of business leaders, senior executives and key communicators.

The idyllically located Reiterhof (Stables) in the Chiemgau Alps is also family-friendly, as demonstrated by the Cultural Weeks for Children. Gut Immling sees about 100 children aged between seven and twelve singing, making music and acting in their own musical performance – at all times under the supervision of professionals. Esterer welcomes the family-friendly approach and appreciates the creative environment. "WTS will again be main sponsor of the opera festival at Gut Immling next year", Esterer announces at this point already.

In addition to culture, Chiemgau and Upper Bavaria offer excellent conditions as a location for business. SMEs in particular appreciate the work of the Upper Bavarian WTS branch in Raubling. "Because we are near Austria, both local tax advice is in demand and, increasingly, international tax expertise. Bavarian businesses can, for example, benefit from tax-related research support from Austria", says Rudolf Beutlrock, WTS branch manager in Raubling.

Information on the 15th Gut Immling Opera Festival
The Gut Immling Opera Festival is one of the most popular musical festivals in Germany, staging major operas against the backdrop of the Alps. This year's festival will be held from 18 June to 14 August 2011 at the idyllically located Reiterhof (Stables) in Chiemgau, under the directorship of Ludwig Baumann. Two major productions by the festival itself are on the programme in 2011: "Aida" by Guiseppe Verdi, conducted by Cornelia von Kerssenbrock, and Mozart's "Don Giovanni". Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" is scheduled as the major orchestral concert – with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Cornelia von Kerssenbrock. There are also open-air events, including the tenor contest "O sole mio" and the baroque opera "Orlando Furioso" by Antonio Vivaldi. A special event on the programme is also a "Spanish Evening" as an open-air special, with a lot of ambiance and stirring music. The festival opens with Orff's "Carmina Burana" and ends with the "Finale Grand" or, for the 8th Cultural Week for Children, with Mozart's "Magic Flute" (Zauberflöte).
