Opera Festival: A Meeting Point for Business Leaders

WTS is the premium festival partner of the Gut Immling Opera Festival in the Chiemgau

Munich, 5 May 2010 – Once again one of the most famous opera festivals in Bavaria is going to take place in the idyllic surroundings of an equestrian estate in the Chiemgau. In the course of the past few years this festival has become a popular meeting point – also for business leaders, managers and multipliers. World Tax Service WTS is the premium partner of the Gut Immling Opera Festival.

Lothar Härteis, Executive President of WTS and Head of the Munich office opened the official press conference of the Gut Immling Opera Festival at the WTS headquarters in Munich by saying: “For years I have been enthusiastically attending this festival in the Chiemgau and admire the excellent job done by Ludwig Baumann, the artistic director of Bavaria’s ‘other green hill’. At an altitude of more than 500 metres the Gut Immling Opera Festival is at a higher level than the Green Hill of Bayreuth”, says Lothar Härteis.

The dynamically expanding WTS tax consulting firm firmly stands to its social and cultural commitment. One of the highlights on the WTS cultural agenda is the partnership with the Gut Immling Opera Festival. In the context of its social responsibility WTS has also initiated the “Kunst am Isartor” exhibition series. At the Munich head office four exhibitions are held every year giving artists in the region the opportunity to present their works ranging from photography to paintings and sculptures.

Information on the 14th GUT IMMLING Opera Festival
Romanticism and yearning for love dominate the 14th GUT IMMLING Opera Festival in the Chiemgau from 20 June to 15 August under the artistic directorship of Ludwig Baumann. In co-operation with the Munich Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Cornelia von Kerssenbrock a Wagner opera will be shown for the first time at the Gut Immling festival – the romantic opera “The Flying Dutchman” as well as George Bizet’s popular opera “Carmen”. But also the Gut Immling Academy will show its own opera with a chamber orchestra: Mozart‘s „La Finta Giardiniera“ is a joint production with the Berlin State Opera ‘Unter den Linden’ and will be performed in the new “Lustgarten” – the pleasure grounds of Gut Immling. The festival will be opened with Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and finish with the “Finale Grande” and the 7th Week of Culture for Children.
