Campus Röthelheimpark opened
WTS establishes new offices on former military siteErlangen, 9 November 2011 – On Tuesday, the WTS branch in Erlangen inaugurated its offices on the former military site in Röthelheimpark, Campus Röthelheimpark. Together with the mayor of Erlangen Dr. Siegfried Balleis as guest speaker, Fritz Esterer, Chairman of WTS, and Andreas Pfaller, WTS branch manager in Erlangen, officially opened the new branch.
"A dynamic and exciting urban planning idea has been brought to a successful conclusion through redevelopment of Röthelheimpark", explained Dr. Siegfried Balleis, mayor of Erlangen, at the ceremony organised by WTS. "By acquiring the Ferris Barracks from the US government, the City of Erlangen has grasped this historically unique opportunity to create the ideal basis for an inner city district", continued Dr. Balleis. A number of buildings for the University of Erlangen as well as offices for commercial, service and industrial companies are being built on the 136 hectare site, in addition to residential housing. The WTS offices cover an area of 1,200 square metres.
"This dynamic urban quarter in Erlangen is an ideal location for our advisory service, which is very closely interlinked with our clients. Hence the short paths to our clients and for our clients to us are particularly important", stressed Fritz Esterer, CEO of WTS. Andreas Pfaller, WTS branch manager in Erlangen, added: "I'm sure that our clients will benefit from the facilities in our new branch, for example the conference area. Our 40 employees will also be delighted with the new facilities in Campus Röthelheimpark."
