WTS establishes presence in EgyptMunich, 1 September 2011 – WTS Egypt LLC has been formed in Cairo. WTS is one of the leading tax consultancy firms in Germany and has now added a member to the international WTS Alliance network in the North Africa region. The chief executive of WTS Egypt LLC is Dr. Ashraf Hanna, a leading advisor to foreign companies on investment in Egypt.
Dr. Ashraf Hanna has been advising companies throughout the world for two decades on their investments and on their plant engineering projects in Egypt. Dr. Hanna and his colleagues have provided support to a multitude of foreign companies on establishing subsidiaries and branches in Egypt. Inter alia, Dr. Hanna's profile includes ten years as head of accounting and tax at the Egyptian subsidiary of a major German multinational, so he understands the client's viewpoint from his own experience.
Dr. Hanna made his PhD in the US. Apart from his excellent English, he speaks German and represents the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW) in Egypt. He regularly gives lectures on Egyptian tax law at conferences, including in Germany. He also publishes on current developments in Egyptian tax law.
Dr. Hanna's extensive practical experience in the application of tax legislation and in dealing with the tax authorities is of particular importance for his clients, especially in Egypt.
Egypt should see new economic momentum once the current transformation phase has been overcome.
